Managing Health and Safety in a region characterised by workforces of many nationalities - and speaking a variety of languages - in often difficult climatic conditions and in areas with extremely harsh terrain is a challenging task. Shell's HSE systems are willingly shared with our JV partners and, whilst there is no room for complacency, it is pleasing to report that Shell companies and JVs generally have an enviable performance record in this area."
